Fukuoka Local Seafood Fair (2020) Underway Now
The Fukuoka prefectural government is promoting civil activities for dietary education and local consumption of locally produced foods under the slogan “Enjoy delicious foods from Fukuoka!”
Since September 10, 2020, the Fukuoka Local Seafood Fair, featuring various dishes made with local seafood, has been held to boost consumption of fishery products from Fukuoka Prefecture, which have been under a severe impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, and support the local fishing industry and restaurants.
During the fair period, restaurants and fishers’ markets approved as Fukuoka Local Seafood Supporters* participate in the fair in various places in the prefecture to serve special dishes made with red seabream, conger eel, dagger-tooth pike conger, and other seafoods. Why not take advantage of this opportunity to savor various kinds of fish and shellfish?
