Visit of the Consul-General of the People's Republic of China in Fukuoka
On June 15, 2020, Mr. Lyu Guijun, Consul-General of the People's Republic of China in Fukuoka, visited Governor Ogawa as a courtesy call to inform the Governor of his arrival for his new assignment.
The Governor expressed his gratitude for the donation of masks from Jiangsu Province, with which the prefecture has concluded a friendship agreement, and business groups in the province. The Governor also referred to the exchange of opinions with Mr. Kong Xuanyou, Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Japan, when the Governor received the Ambassador last September, greeting him as follows: “I believe that the accumulation of people-to-people exchanges and inter-regional exchanges will be the basis of trust and friendship between the two countries. Currently, it is difficult to interact with each other due to the impact of the coronavirus, but we would like to work together so as not to interrupt the friendship between Fukuoka and China, which we have fostered over the years, by sharing wisdom”.
