Former Fukuoka Prefecture Public Hall Distinguished Guest House and Nakanoshima of Ohori Park Are Lit Up in the Ukrainian Flag Colors
Defying the warnings issued many times by international society, the Russian army has launched a full-scale invasion into Ukraine, causing many casualties. War is the most extreme form of violation of human rights, and Russia’s violent actions cannot be tolerated.
On March 1, 2022, the Fukuoka Prefectural Assembly soon adopted a resolution objecting strongly to the Russian army’s invasion of Ukraine and calling for permanent peace. To express its sincere respect for this resolution and show its solidarity with everyone wishing for peace, including citizens of Ukraine, Fukuoka Prefecture will light up the Former Fukuoka Prefecture Public Hall Distinguished Guest House, a nationally designated important cultural property located in prefectural Tenjin Chuo Park, and Nakanoshima in prefectural Ohori Park in blue and yellow, the Ukrainian flag colors.
