"Sites of Japan's Meiji Industrial Revolution" Special Exhibition "Bricks That Supported Japan's industrial Revolution" to Be Held!
○ The World Heritage Site "Sites of Japan's Meiji Industrial Revolution: Iron and Steel, Shipbuilding, and Coal Mining" is a testament to the process that promoted rapid industrialization in the heavy industries of iron and steel, shipbuilding, and coal mining from the mid-19th century to the beginning of the 20th century and propelled Japan to become a world economic powerhouse.
○ Fukuoka Prefecture World Heritage Liaison Committee (Fukuoka Prefecture/Kitakyushu City/Omuta City/Nakama City) for the Sites of Japan's Meiji Industrial Revolution has been holding special exhibitions at the museums in Fukuoka Prefecture since FY 2018 to inform many residents of the prefecture of the constituent assets located in the prefecture.

Twenty-three exhibits include the bricks of the Hagi Reverberatory Furnace, and the Miyanohara and Manda Pits of the Miike Coal Mine, which constitute the Sites of Japan's Meiji Industrial Revolution, and bricks excavated and collected in Fukuoka Prefecture.
