Visit by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Japan

On July 9, 2021, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Japan visited Governor Hattori.

In the meeting, Governor Hattori talked about the achievements of the late Dr. Tetsu Nakamura, public support for the Peshawar-kai, and the Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics pre-games training camps of Afghan athletes being held in Omuta City. Governor Hattori also said,  “I believe that personal and regional exchanges serve as the cornerstone of peace and friendship between countries. I would like to ask for your continued support for exchanges between Afghanistan and Japan, including Fukuoka Prefecture."
