Why not relish Fukuoka’s locally produced sake and shochu more?
Fukuoka Prefecture is a renowned sake-producing region, boasting one of the largest number of sake breweries in the country. However, because of an increase in permanent business closures, a reduction in the number of food- and drink-related events, and other changes of circumstances that have followed the expansion of the infectious disease caused by the novel coronavirus, demand for brands of alcohol produced in Fukuoka Prefecture has dropped sharply, and breweries in the Prefecture have been facing a severe downturn.
In light of this, Fukuoka Prefecture has now created an app on which restaurants serving brands of alcohol made in the Prefecture are registered and introduced as “restaurants that support Fukuoka’s locally produced sake and shochu.” The app also offers discount coupons that can be used on brands of alcohol produced in Fukuoka Prefecture and provides information on promotional events. In addition to this app, a special online shop selling brands of Fukuoka-made alcohol has just started.
Please drink brands of alcohol made in Fukuoka Prefecture at restaurants and at home to support the recovery and development of breweries in the Prefecture.
