Art Exhibition "The Spanish Master Miro" Being Held at Kyushu Geibunkan Now
An exhibition of works by Joan Miro (1893 - 1983), who is widely acclaimed as one of the Spanish masters of the 20th century along with Picasso and Dali, is being held at the Kyushu Geibunkan.
Miro was engaged in a wide range of creation activities, including oil paintings, prints, sculptures and pottery. In particular, he vigorously worked on the creation of prints throughout his life since starting at the age of 35, and prints became his lifework along with oil paintings. This exhibition introduces well-selected 146 works from his early years to later years, including the first print by Miro.
