Cycling Associations and Travel Agencies from Taiwan Visit the Governor
Representatives of cycling associations and travel agencies from Taiwan, who visited Fukuoka over four days from November 25th to 28th to create travel products for cycling tours for visitors from Taiwan, called on the governor.
Fukuoka Prefecture positions cycle tourism as a new type of experience-based tourism, and is working to improve the environment for accepting cyclists both within and outside Japan by setting wide-area routes that allow them to enjoy the charms of Fukuoka Prefecture.
The governor said, "I am very pleased to be able to welcome all of you who are actively involved in cycle tourism, which is popular in Taiwan. Through the monitor tour, we would like you to feel the appeal of Fukuoka Prefecture, such as beautiful scenery, historical buildings, and food, suitable for cycling. I hope that your feelings will be communicated to Taiwanese cyclists, and that many of them will come to Fukuoka."
