This was the 21st time since the award's inception in 1999, with 1 Grand Prize, 5 First Prizes, and 17 Second Prizes being awarded amongst the 157 items submitted by 145 companies from across Japan.

To promote and expand sales channels for these award-winning products, sales events were held from 15 February to 17 March at Hakata Hankyu and Tokyu Hands Hakata. These events were also graced by a selection of past award-winning products, as well as plenty of visitors.
