Regarding to the extension of the state of emergency declaration

On February 2, it was announced by the national government that the period of the state of emergency would be extended until March 7. Based on the current infection situation and the healthcare systems, Fukuoka Prefecture has been designated as a target area.
We understand the inconvenience efforts from the prefectural residents and businesses, but we ask for everyone’s continued cooperation. However, if the infection situation and the healthcare system improves, upon hearing the opinions from experts we will request the national government to lift the declaration early.
Therefore, we would like to request the following for the cooperation of the residents and businesses of the prefecture to so we can withdraw from the area subject to the state of emergency as soon as possible.

To prefectural residents

県民向け

We ask that you refrain from unnecessary outings, both day or night, except when necessary to maintain life and health. Particularly, going out after 20:00. In doing so, refrain from unnecessary travel between prefectures or to areas where the infection is spreading as much as possible.

For restaurants and bars

飲食店 

We ask for restaurants and bars to keep their business hours from 5:00 to 20:00. Alcoholic beverages will be served from 11:00 to 19:00 until March 7th.
 We ask that you continue to take thorough infection prevention practices in accordance with the guidelines and display the "Infection Prevention Sticker".
 We would like to ask for the continued understanding and cooperation of all restaurants and bars to shorten their hours of operation so that we can withdraw the target area as soon as possible.

Fukuoka Prefecture will provide a second phase of cooperation grant for restaurants and bars that cooperate in shortening their business hours from 0:00 on Monday, February 8 to 24:00 on Sunday, March 7 to prevent the spread of infection. Details on how to apply will be announced later.

Phase 1: Shortened business hours from January 16 to February 7, up to 1.38 million yen
Phase 2: Shortened business hours from February 8 to March 7, up to 1.68 million yen

Commuting to Work etc.

To reduce contact with other people, we want to aim for a reduce the number of employees who go to work by 70% even more, by either work from home, rotating work hours and such. 
We also ask for your cooperation in reducing work hours after 20:00, unless it is necessary for business continuity.
We ask that you continue to take thorough infection prevention practices in accordance with the guidelines and display the "Infection Prevention Sticker".

Other

We request the same measures regarding to facilities other than restaurants, restrictions on holding events, and schools to continue.

In Closing

The prefectural government will do its utmost to ensure that the state of emergency declaration is lifted as soon as possible, and we ask for the understanding and cooperation of all residents and businesses in the prefecture.
